What is the Dark Chocolate Brownie?
The Dark Chocolate Brownie is a variation on the Triple Chocolate Brownie but with the white chocolate replaced with dark.
The dark chocolate makes up 80% of the chocolate in this recipe. Hence the name. Dark chocolate not only makes up the base of the brownie but part of the texture.
How did this one start?
This brownie started when a friend wanted a brownie but didn’t like white chocolate. I made it as a special, replacing the white chocolate chunks with dark chocolate chunks. Other than that, it is identical to the Triple Chocolate Brownie. But, it turns out that it tastes distinctly different and somehow more sophisticated. I, and many others, very much enjoy this one now.
